Public bug reported:

After upgrade to 2.6.27-4-generic kernel, it appears that audio is work but
only when system starts it plays startup sound. In other cases - it is not.
Even when i change audio at sound playback entry at gnome-sound-properties
window from autodetect to Alsa devices (whether Digital or Analog) it doesn't
play sound at all. It tells:
<audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample !
gconfaudiosink: Failed to connect stream: Invalid argument>
when i run command:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ speaker-test -c8 -twav -l 1

speaker-test 1.0.17

Playback device is default
Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 8 channels
WAV file(s)
Rate set to 48000Hz (requested 48000Hz)
Buffer size range from 24 to 262144
