Public bug reported:

After boot network does not come up after boot on intrepid.
Config was working fine with 8.04 but i updated to intrepid alpha6 yesterday
and
then the network does not come up at boot.
Net works fine when I issue 'ifdown eht0' and 'ifup eth0'.
If I just try to 'ifup eth0' it says that "its already configured",
but the ip address is not conf'ed.
So i think there is something wrong with boot / init sequence.

here is the /etc/network/interfaces :

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

iface eth0 inet static
address 10.30.21.125
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 10.30.21.1

auto eth0

iface vnet0 inet manual
iface eth1 inet static
address 10.50.21.2
netmask 255.255.255.0
