Are you still seeing this with the daily cds from
http://cdimages.ubuntu.com? Does the live cd work? If you are still
having problems, do you have a USB thumb drive that you could capture
the information described at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingHardwareDetection on to? The
information at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingCasper should assist you
in figuring out how to mount the usb stick, though the casper logfile
won't be present. You may need to press Alt-F2 to get to another
console.
