Hi, reconfiguring xserver-xorg (sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg) fixed this on Intrepid for me. This is on a Dell vostro 1400. kernel 2.6.27-4-generic xorg-server 2:1.5.0-1ubuntu1
