I think this is a PolicyKit bug, because I just tested with time-admin and users-admin. It's reproducible on both.
If run as root, the Unlock button is there, but it's disabled. Everything else (except Close) is also disabled as if it hasn't been unlocked, even though the application is running with root privileges already. ** Changed in: policykit (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: gnome-system-tools => policykit Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Summary changed: - sudo users-admin does not offer "add user" + Administrative tools with PolicyKit's "Unlock" button remain locked (with Unlock button disabled) when run as root -- Administrative tools with PolicyKit's "Unlock" button remain locked (with Unlock button disabled) when run as root https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272400 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
