I can confirm this bug as well when viewing videos on CNN. I can see the advertisement but then firefox suddenly quits when flash forwards the user to the next video in queue. Haven't got it to crash on Youtube yet it's mostly sites with advanced flash video functionalities (like switching to another video). Youtube, which is just exposing an flv file, works fine. But I find this bug has to do with any page that shows you an ad before the video or perhaps uses some kind of video protection mechanism may be what is making the browser/flash crash.
Steps to reproduce my testing Tried package flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.124.0ubuntu2 Purged flashplugin-nonfree Removed .mozilla and reopened firefox to create a new profile Closed firefox and installed flashplayer10__091508 ( http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashplayer10/flashplayer10_install_linux_091508.tar.gz ) I have tested Adobe Flash 9.0 r124 and 10.0 r12 on my machine and keep getting the crash. Some colleagues tried it on theirs and they were able to see both the ad and the videos on cnn.com without a crash.
