If I run OpenVPN from the command line, the default route is redirected
as expected, so the regression has to be in network-manager[-openvpn].

I've also noticed another regression from Hardy, that the DNS dhcp-
option pushed by the server isn't added to the nameserver list in
/etc/resolv.conf. Curiously enough the DOMAIN dhcp-option pushed is
added to the list of «search» domains in /etc/resolv.conf, and also
overrides the «domain» setting in that file. /etc/resolv.conf does not
change at all when I run OpenVPN from the command line - I don't think
OpenVPN has the capability to do so on its own.

I'll update the title of the bug to include this too...
