@Joseph Price: I see from the status of this bug that a fix was
released. Can someone give me more details on this? Does the fix happen
in a newer version of gtk-engines-qt or xchat? Are you using KDE 4 or
3.5? Since norro and I are still experiencing this bug, I think the
report should be set back to confirmed and triage'd accordingly.

I am confirming this bug still exists in xchat 2.8.4-0ubuntu7 in Kubuntu
8.04.1 (KDE3.5)

Testing this bug:
Able to view channel highlight when nick is mentioned in tab view. Channel
switcher in tree view does not display colors and does not highlight when nick
is mentioned.

Steps to reproduce:
Install Kubuntu
Install xchat

In xchat:
Connect to freenode or another irc server and open a few channels.
View > Channel Switcher > Tree
Prompt someone to msg you in a channel then move to another channel and
minimize the application.

Problem: There are no tab colors in tree mode. You will know that a
message was sent since the xchat panel applet will flash, but once you
maximize xchat you will not know in what channel your nick was
mentioned, since the channel name is not highlighted. This is not and
issue in gnome.
