Public bug reported:

8.10 intrepid alpha 6 - root file system mounted read only (XFS) with
2.6.27-4-generic (32bit). File system mounts correctly using kernel
2.6.24-19-generic (32bit).

from /var/log/sysadm:

noatime,nodiratime,logbufs=8 0 1

Remounting with rw option still produces a read only filesystem.
