Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
I am unable to connect to my college's lan using network manager. The network that I am trying to connect to is called eduroam, for a description of how to connect to this network in other operating systems you may go to this page: http://www.cic.ua.pt/PageImages.aspx?id=6871 and here http://www.cic.ua.pt/PageText.aspx?id=4807 I was able to connect to this network just fine with Gutsy and Hardy, but I have been unable to connect to it ever since I installed intrepid. I have all of the latest updates installed as of today at 12:56 GMT Whenever I try to connect to it an error message appears complaining about network secrets and I would try to insert something to get it to work, but the wireless security area is grayed out, which means I end up not being able to do anything about it. I have tried using the correct certificate, I have tried configuring the network manually, but still to no avail. I have attached a bunch of information that might be useful (not sure though, so if anything is missing please tell me how to get the info and I'll post it here) and here is an image of the error box that keeps appearing: http://www.picoodle.com/view.php?img=/3/9/23/f_screenshot1m_f89bacf.png&srv=img37 Thank you for your time. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- NM Keeps asking for "secrets" with wireless security greyed out https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273550 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
