It's impossible to blacklist ssb. I have tried adding it to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist, creating a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ssb file only for it but nothing works. I have even removed ssb.ko and rebooted and then the module was still there, shown in lsmod.
Workaround: I have solved it running 'update-initramfs -u' but it's very unintuitive. It wouldn't be an issue if ssb module didn't conflict with others like wl or b43...
