** Description changed: Binary package hint: network-manager - Network manager will no longer auto connect to my hidden network on sign - in even with all security turned off. I'm having an educated guess that - this is because the network is hidden as if I choose my neighbor's - visible WEP protected wireless, it asks for the WEP key after I sign in. - Pre-Intrepid, I used to turn off roaming and use a manual connection to - auto-connect but I can't find any way to do this in Intrepid. My network - works fine once I connect through "Connect to other wireless network" - and it seems to remember the SSID as it shows in the list, just it wont - connect without me telling it to? + In Intrepid, Network manager will no longer auto connect to my hidden + network on sign in even with all security turned off. One solution could be to perhaps have working back-up GUI tool like the "System->Administration->Network" manual network setup from previous releases that you can use if the latest Network Manager can't do what you need?
