Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
vesa failsafe mode doesn't work 'out of the box' in Intrepid Alpha 6 on my notebook (ASUS F8Sp) in Intrepid. Seems like it's not detecting my hsync and vrefresh modes for my notebook screen, because when I enter some correct hsync and vrefresh ranges in xorg.conf, it works. It's also not automatically detecting what resolutions my monitor supports -- I can only choose from the default (800x600) resolution when I finally do get into the gdm. Don't know if I should file this resolution issue as a separate bug or not... This is mainly a problem because none of the ATI drivers works for me, either...
