I have the same problem with a Mitsumi CR-ROM drive, model CRMC-FX4830T. Rythmbox automatically starts on insertion of an audio CD, so even if I wanted to use another player, the auto-ejection by Rythmbox prevents it.
The disk is being read initially, because I can see the list of song titles. I'm using Ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04) and Rythmbox 0.11.5. I've tried to dissociate Rythmbox from the CD multimedia in the Preferred Applications applet, but so far no luck in mitigating this effect. -- CD ejects on first strating to play, then reports paused https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245703 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
