I can confirm having the same problem with Xubuntu 8.04.1, 64-bit. I get: "Unable to eject "SD/MMC Drive":
An application is preventing the volume "SD/MMC Drive" from being ejected This also happens even when I've just turned on my computer and haven't accessed my SD card yet. The same problem occurs when trying to eject my USB external hard drive.
