Public bug reported: I have a Benchmark DAC1 USB digital to analog converter that doesn't seem to work in Ubuntu 8.04. The device should need no specific driver to work.
Steps to reproduce: With a Benchmark DAC1 USB connected to the computer: 1. Open "System -> Preferences -> Sound" and change sound playback for music and movies to "USB Audio". 2. Press the "Test" button. Expected result: A test signal is output. Result: The program (gnome-sound-properties) terminates due to a segmentation fault. Other applications such as rhythmbox and totem are also terminated in the same manner when USB Audio has been selected. Actually, the DAC did work in Ubuntu 7.10 (or maybe it was 7.04) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-sound-properties crashes with USB Audio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
