In my case at least it's not innocuous --- the high load level is unhappily accompanied by an inability to do much other than jerkily move the cursor for a few minutes. Maybe this is because I tend to have ~6 workspaces full of windows open... but it's very frustrating, especially when coupled with the several minute hibernate/resume cycle!
