I have a Mio GPS device that suffers from the same problems, both with ehci_hcd and uhci_hcd (both as an SD card reader and when accessing the internal flash).

I tried the autosuspend trick from post 209, no change. A year and a half and no fix (not even a diagnosis) in sight.
