It seems someone decided to add mouse event callbacks to a Progress Bar widget instead of using a standard "scale" or "slider" widget. This hack has resulted in another bug, not being able to easily drag the slider to 100%: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vlc/+bug/250041/
