There is nothing in syslog and messages, they're empty. Also, when GNOME starts loading I get bunch of error windows. There's no panel, no Nautilus, it's only the background and the pointer. This is one of the errors:
There was error starting the GNOME settings daemon. Some things such as themes or background settings may not work correctly. The Settings daemon restarted to many times. The last error message was: System exception: IDL:OMG.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0 GNOME will still try to restart the settings daemon next time you log in. Second error is: Nautilus can't be used now, due to an unexpected error. Nautilus cant' be used now due to an unexpected error from Bonobo when attempting to locate the factory. Killing bonobo-activation-server and restarting Nautilus may help fix the problem. ** Summary changed: - Ubuntu Dapper for PPC - installer not working + Ubuntu Dapper (PPC) - installer crashes and GNOME not loading ** Description changed: - Start the installer and you get this: + Most of the time I boot the live cd I can't even get to the installer + because GNOME fails to load completely.
