FWIW, with the Brother HL5250DN driver in the standard install, I can print duplex, but as with above, all areas to select landscape are grayed out. I then installed xpdf and now understand why it is called unacceptable! I can landscape but cannot duplex, as there are no printing options. gpdf is not available: $ sudo apt-get install gpdf Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Package gpdf is not available, but is referred to by another package.
