I think there exists no configuration for USB.
At least, that none is normally needed.
"Genesys Logic, Inc. USB-2.0 4-Port HUB" is a very common chip.
Only its daisy-chaining would be unusual.
But no more than cascading two hubs.
82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 USB controller should be very standaard too.

Problem is my problem occurs only occasionally.
It only lasts until I reset USB when it occurs.
And I don't know how or why it starts.
So, it's impossible to test it with a LiveCD.

Does your problem occur all thye time.
Could you do the LiveCD test that was asked for?
