My mistake - it is Firefox 3.01 - and yes it was a standard downloaded package.
I have had in on for while but can only get 20 minutes or so when Firefox is on. If I leave the computer on all night without Firefox it is still running (although the wireless card was attached and running during that time) Last night I had it on with Firefox and tried a hand of solitaire and it froze. The common thread in Firefox connected to the internet.
