Public bug reported: I Installed intrepid alpha 5 on three different computers, and only found this problem in one of them.
After making an update, gnome could no longer complete startup. It loads the background image, and that's it. I can move the pointer and exit the session with alt+ctrl+backspace. I already tried eliminating hidden files (.gconf .gconfd .gnome2 .gnome2_private) I'm currently using KDE on this computer, but I really dislike it and want to get gnome back up. I would appreciate some help on diagnosting and solving this. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome doesn't complete startup after updating intrepid alpha 5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/270325 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
