I aslo noticed this alarming issue on my system when doing: apt-get install libpam-umask If it wants to remove almost all my system see http://pastebin.ca/1201680
dpkg -S pam_umask.so libpam-modules: /lib/security/pam_umask.so so the libpam-umask should be removed from the repo as soon as possible but the documentation must be added to libpam-modules.
