Public bug reported: Did the system update, and reloaded and the system came back and warned that X was running in Low Resolution mode, offered me the opportunity to re-configure, diagnose, etc, but after 're-configuring' and exiting that tool, ended up with a black screen with a mouse cursor, and nothing else. Restarting X via 'sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart' or reloading the computer from the command line came back with the same results. Reloaded back to 2.6.27-2-generic and things are 'better'.
Will attach Xorg.0.log.old from previous reload, and Xorg.0.log from current session. Currently using nvidia version 177 driver. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- after kernel update to 2.6.27-3-generic, X in low res mode https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269633 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
