I was able to sort this problem out for myself on my laptop: it could be a duplicate of bug #65028, and the fix/workaround discussed there seems to work for me.
Hope that helps. If you were seeing the problem in dapper (or before) however, I don't think that bug #65028's workarounds will help you out.
