Public bug reported: I have a Gigabyte EG43M-S2H which uses a G43 chipset and X4500 video. The board has VGA, DVI, and HDMI. If I use the VGA port everything is fine. But if I try to use the DVI port, the X server crashes while staring up with a segfault and a backtrace.
I'm running a fully updated 64 bit Ubuntu 8.10 alpha 5 with the 2.4.1 driver. (Xorg 7.4 prerelease) I have also tried with 2.4.2 compiled from upstream with the same results. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- G43/X4500 chipset segfaults when using DVI port https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269107 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
