Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

I just installed NM 0.7 from the PPA, only to find my Verizon UM175 USB
EVDO device isn't detected by NM. Currently

Attached is the output of lshal on my eeePC 1000, running Hardy.

You're looking for /dev/ttyACM0

I was successful in getting it to work under the stock NM from Hardy,
except the connection was never shown as up (even though it was), so
apps that query NM to determine if there's a network connection thought
there was none.

0.7~~svn20080908t183521+eni0-0ubuntu2~nm1 is the version installed.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
