Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.17-10-generic
Hello, My computer's does not support ACPI properly, so Linux uses APM. (I am certain about this.) Before upgrading to "Edgy Eft", I was using 6.06.1 LTS ("Dapper Drake") and my computer shut down properly by itself. After upgrading to "Edgy Eft" my computer does not shut down automatically. (E.g. I have to push the power button to finish the shut down sequence.) My guess is that a regression in the kernel causes this bug. I have not tried other kernel packages but am willing to try if anyone suggests a package. Thank you, stiuert ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Computer with APM does not shut down. https://launchpad.net/bugs/69880 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
