First, let me just state that running random commands that you don't know what they do as root is a BAD idea!
Secondly, the same complaint was filed as debian bug #325290 and was fixed by adding a manual page in the debian package version 20071016-3 (later included also upstream), so nowadays ubuntu probably contains it too (so this bug can probably be closed?). -- routef is missing a man page. "routef --help" executes the script.
