Binary package hint: xfree86-driver-synaptics
After the latest Intrepid updates, my ALPS touchpad apparently only
works in "dumb mouse emulation" mode, with no features like tapping or
scrolling working.
Downgrading xserver-xorg-input-synaptics from
0.15.0+git20080820-1ubuntu5 to 0.14.7~git20070706-2.1ubuntu3 made the
touchpad work again.
