Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mount
I upgraded from (k)ubuntu dapper to edgy. Everything works fine but swap does not get activated at boot time. If I issue : swapon -a I get swapon: /dev/disk/by-uuid/8d4f6018-0339-XXXXX-a63f-2d8cf45f5f1c: Invalid argument If I use swapon /dev/hda7 I get the same error. After using mkswap /dev/hda7 I can enable it with swapon but it won´t activate the swap space after reboot (I changed fstab to the new volumeid). Any ideas what kind of problem that is? ** Affects: util-linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- swapon refuses with error "Invalid argument" https://launchpad.net/bugs/69793 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
