Hi Daniel, can I get a step-by-step procedure on how to do this? I did something similar like what you said before I gave up to do the backtrace which is to launch a gdb on console1 and try to attach the gaim pid opened on gui under another gdb copy (I have to fire up gaim under gdb, otherwise it will segfault immediately), but it wouldn't allow me to attach the pid.
