Ok, I just wanted give an update for flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.124.0ubuntu2. Firefox no longer crashes with the reproducible incident I listed before. I very rarely encounter crashes anymore, maybe 1 in 500. I think Adobe has been improving their code, but we have no way of knowing that.
