** Summary changed: - Applications menu in foreign language displays only translated items (Xubuntu) + Turkish translation of XFCE4's menu in "/etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml.tr" is incomplete
** Description changed: Binary package hint: xfce4 + + The file "/etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml.tr" does not contain an "<include>" + line which includes the menu of applications. Because of this, Turkish users + of XFCE (and hence Xubuntu) don't see any applications in the XFCE menu. + + Interestingly enough, the upstream version of the mentioned file does not have + this problem. + + === Original description follows === (On Xubuntu 8.04 beta 32bit desktop) After having installed Turkish language support, when starting a session using Turkish as the default language, the XFCE "Applications" menu show only three items, all of the in Turkish. I am assuming that these are the only translated items, and that the other ones fail to show. I expected the untranslated items to show up in a fallback language, for instance English (or another installed language). -- Turkish translation of XFCE4's menu in "/etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml.tr" is incomplete https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210773 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
