Could you try removing hpoj package, and add this to your sources.list: deb http://www.grad.hr/~ivoks/ubuntu/hplip ./
and then: apt-get update; apt-get install hpijs hpijs-ppds hplip-ppds hplip-data hplip re-add your printer and try again.
