This is NOT a duplicate of #51369. As I said before: I am using a LVM root partition, so the entry in grub reads root=/dev/mapper/vg0-ub_root. LVM operates on /dev/sda*. I had to do the hdXY to sdXY dance during dapper's development cycle.
