please check that lib32stdc++6 and ia32-libs are installed and check
that you do have recent versions. /usr/lib32/libstdc++.so.6 should be
present. We certainly would have more reports, if this occurred on every
system. Are any packages installed from non-Ubuntu sources? Is this a
system converted from Debian?
Symlinking incompatible shared libraries is likely to break your system,
not only OOo.
