I am also using an ATI xpress 200 on an HP dx5150 with AMD X2 4800. I have a second system that uses Nvidia with out any issue. I have tried all the fixes on this report and still getting lock ups on log out, reboot, shutdown, xorg restart, and switching to console. If I use the ATI opensource drivers everything works fine, it only happens with fglrx.
