I'd like to emphasize again that this bug has severe implications on some systems. I just found out that bug #50341 is actually caused by this bug. To summarize it: As long as I don't work around with max_cstate=1, I can't even scroll smoothly in an xterm (not speaking about something like firefox) and my keyboard repeat rate goes down to about 1/6 of the value with max_cstate=1.
