Public bug reported:

I have recently installed ubuntu dapper on my Compaq Evo N610c. Previously I
used Breezy on this same notebook and suspend to disk worked out of the box,
suspend to ram didn't. With Dapper suspend to disk is broken also. When I try
to hibernate, the screen blanks, then the hard disk led lights up and the
computer doesn't shut down (with the HD led still on). I have waited for 10
minutes, but nothing happens. Then, to shut down, I have to press continously
the power button.
Suspend to ram doesn't work too.
I have added resume=/dev/hda5 (my swap partition) and tweaked with the settings
in /etc/default/acpi-support, but nothing worked.

** Affects: acpi-support (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
