Changes through alacarte override the defaults, even after they are corrected, and I'm not sure if alacarte has an easy way to remove them.
Also, this should be fixed since June, 14th, as I fixed this bug in Rosetta 1 or 2 days after the Ubuntu 6.06 release, and there was a language pack update on the 14th. Otherwise something went wrong with the langpack updates or with Rosetta.
