this happens to me as well (in dapper final firefox & epiphany); both when i submitted a signed CoC, and later to verify if it indeed got uploaded. which i did confirm via firefox on winxp, even though dapper crashed on submit, it did upload.
i tested in epiphany with all extensions disabled to verify that my installed 3rd party firefox extensions were not the cause. i've narrowed it down, i think, to the nvidia restricted drivers. if i change from 'nvidia' to 'nv' in xorg.conf, then the CoC page on launchpad does not crash X.
