You ca use Gyachi <https://launchpad.net/%7Eloell/+archive/ppa>. I used this one last year and whatever I could remember, it worked pretty well for me! I made my webcam work with that. But after getting acquainted with Skype, I dumped Gayachi. Skype is really cool and far better than yahoo messenger!
