i also found this problem couple of month ago. At that time, after updating my system with the update manager, i found i cannot read anything in sachalayatan. I checked my firefox setting, everything were alright. After couple of trial and error attempts, i uninstalled a package called banglattf or something like that( contains bangla fonts). then everything started woking fine again.
