Thanks Thomas! Right, I'm aware of the 2023 changes, and there has
indeed been some hubbub (like me continuing to self-approve while I
shouldn't have any more). But as far as I understood, I followed the
process since then -- uploading the backports and letting the backports
team approve them from the queue. Was that still wrong somehow?

Anyway, I am now applying for PPU
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MartinPitt/PPUApplication) and added myself to
the agenda https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DeveloperMembershipBoard/Agenda but
it'll still be more than two months away (an earlier slot isn't
available). So in the meantime I'd still appreciate a sponsoring. Thank
