-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I use iiNet for myself and some of my clients, as well as Internode. Both are of equal quality IMHO.
What sets them both apart from Telstra/Optus is the fact that you can call up tech support and get an English-speaking human being within three rings. And for both companies I find the tech support are understanding, and willing to work around "unsupported hardware" issues. Telstra and Optus on the other hand offshore their support, and blindly refuse to assist if you run "unsupported" hardware (say, a different brand of ADSL modem) or OS (eg: non Windows/MacOSX/RedHat/SuSE). Worse, ~ both have a shocking habit of blaming the end user at any cost, and telling them to do very silly/dangerous things like completely disabling firewalls in an attempt to get things to work. iiNet and Internode have been my recommendation to all of my clients for the last 5 years now, and if they keep up their quality service, will stay that way. Oh, and both have regularly refreshed Ubuntu mirrors. :) - -Dan -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFIaYrOeFJDv0P9Qb8RAgGtAJ9bIzHgvCR41LLf18DM85PvpK70GACdF4wm VoQyz/hkhMj0OKmXgye5tag= =Nc3H -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- ubuntu-au mailing list ubuntu-au@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
