Actually I think this IS the problem; not the fact that you are suited to mailing lists, but the fact that people that come here are not, and we must understand this. Many are artists, and they don't even know what "top posting" is. A single 'please do not top-post' warning is not enough since it confuses these people and might appear rude to them. We cannot solve the 'problem' of mailing lists usability to new users, but we really *need* these people to contribute, so maybe we should explain better. It only takes a few words : 'oh and by the way, please reply below the quoted message for best readability'. Or maybe we could find another way to communicate with artists and users in a way that suits them more (e.g. a moderated artwork section in the ubuntu forums), while keeping this mailing list for more technical discussions.
