remove images from gallery app

Bug description:
On a BQ Aquaris 4.5 OTA 8.5: I recently added some cover art to music
folders. These images appeared in gallery. I removed the images in gallery app
(select, wastebin). They were still on the disk. After some time (days?
seconds?) I saw them in gallery again.
I do not understand what gallery is trying to do. Maybe two buttons would
clarify what gallery is going to do ('Remove from disk' vs. 'Remove from
gallery').
